I read the study concerning chronic pain and relationships. I was discouraged that the study had been limited to Ontario and Quebec. I have Ankylosing Spondylitis. I have experienced pain daily for several years. I am married. As a couple it would have been an interesting study for us to participate in. We, however, live in Nova Scotia. I would like to read the study when completed if possible. Thank you

I also deal w/chronic pain. I live in Edmonton, AB, & I am currently in the process of writing a paper for CPAC dealing w/pain 24/7, needing meds daily to control the pain & it's affects & effects of certain ones. I have been dealing w/severe neuropathic pain including many other symptoms for the last 15yrs. I was married, separated after 14yrs, I have 2 boys now 17&14. My wife was not able to deal with what happened & how my accident affected me & the whole family. She decided 1day that she was going to her moms & dads, take the boys w/her, because she decided the boys didn't need to see me in pain any more. She decided it was the best for HER boys. So u'll see it probably in 1 of the volumes. There are 2 papers I am co-author, wrote most of it, but I'm only a Research Tech. I have not attended 1 medical class @ UofA for a Dr's degree. I'm currently teaching med students, residents, & Drs from all over the world for my Dr @ the clinic I have been going to since 1999. I also was asked by the head Dr @ the UofA Pain Clinic to teach 1 of his classes. My disability due to my accident is considered a case study. I have an extensive technical background & have done research for the Gov't of AB & the AB Research Council for 10yrs, working in labs, greenhouse & fields, writing reports & papers or presentations for conferences. You may find it helpful or informative as I have found the papers of reseach done, in the process of doing & other substitutes for medication in the volumes I've rec'd as a member of CPAC.
