The problem may occur in the peripheral nervous system made up of nerves in arms and legs, or in the central nervous system, which involves the spinal cord and brain. Neuropathic Pain is invisible and often described as tingling, chronic burning, knife-like stabbing sensations or as hypersensitivity to touch or cold.
